“Promeno tra la merkato” is an electroacoustic landscape that constructs a short walk through an imagined marketplace. A place that never existed but has been rebuilt using audio sources from different time periods and locations across the world. The piece acknowledges the fragile nature of its core sounds; while some of the captured locations persist, others may have disappeared due to urban planning, crisis, or war. In the same way, the unknown voices within these recordings might have changed over the years or faded away entirely. To create this unique environment, “Bazaro” weaves together audio from a diverse range of countries.
